A "Mouse Additive" for GoldED 2.31p

What is GoldRAT, anyway?
After trying the built in mouse support in GoldED 2.30, I decided to make
my own mouse routines for it. The mouse routines within GoldED are not to
good (like Odinn warnned us about!) so I wanted an easy way to add mouse
support to GoldED. Here is what I came up with.
GoldRAT will allow you to move the scroll-bars according to the mouse
movements. It also has "pop-up" windows that will let you choose options
by putting the keyboard command into the keyboard buffer.
Place all the files in the GoldRAT archive in your GoldED directory or in a
convienent directory in your path. There are two versions of GoldRAT. One is
for color systems, and the other for mono systems. To start GoldRAT, type
either GOLDRAT [d:\path\]COLOR or GOLDRAT [d:\path\]MONO. For instance, I have
"GOLDRAT E:\GOLDRAT\COLOR". You can turn off the menus by typing GOLDRAT OFF.
How to use the mouse:
Right Button: Same as ENTER
Left Button : Brings up the menus
Both Buttons: Same as ESC
GoldRAT has support for 80x25, 80x40, 80x43, 80x50 and 80x60 video modes. If
you use a different video mode, netmail me and I'll add the support to it. It
*should* work with 132 columns, but I have not tested it.
GoldRAT can be loaded in high memory with no problems. I have it in high mem
using QEMM's LOADHI.COM. It takes up about 22k of RAM.
GoldRAT was tested with the Microsoft Mouse Driver (MOUSE.COM) ver. 7.04 and
should work with all MS Mouse compatibles.
NOTE: You will have to run GoldRAT again if you use another program that uses
a mouse. GoldRAT won't take up more memory if you load it multiple times. It
just has to be re-initialized.
If you have any suggestions or questions, feel free to netmail me at 1:213/780
or call Evolutions End BBS at 1-702-825-3981 (HST/V.32/V.42).
